I'm Yaman Jain, a backend engineer at rtCamp. I spend most of my time on the server side of the web - the parts users never see but always feel when they're slow or broken.

Day to day that spans three worlds that turn out to have a lot in common. I build distributed systems for a multi-tenant SaaS platform: event-driven microservices, and a task-execution engine that has to keep long-running jobs moving through retries, backoff, and stalled-job recovery without ever losing track of state. I keep high-traffic WordPress VIP sites fast, which is where you learn what a single unindexed query does to a table with millions of rows. And I build agentic AI pipelines - RAG, embeddings, LLM orchestration - and watch closely where the abstractions leak.

What I write about

• Distributed systems - job queues, event-driven architecture, and making concurrency behave under real load.
• WordPress at scale - MySQL query optimization, Elasticsearch, and caching on high-traffic VIP sites.
• Agentic AI - practical notes on RAG, LLM orchestration, and observability, not hype.
• Side projects - things I'm building in the open, like OmniLogs and CodeRAG, and what they taught me.

The goal here is simple: explain things the way I wish they'd been explained to me. Plain language, real examples pulled from production, and enough depth that you walk away actually understanding the thing - not just able to copy-paste past it.
