Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 July 2026

This site is a personal blog. It is built to respect your privacy: there are no advertising trackers, no third-party analytics, and no attempt to profile you. This policy explains the little data that is involved.

What I collect

Browsing the site collects nothing about you personally. The only data you share is what you choose to give: your email address, if you subscribe to the newsletter.

The newsletter

If you subscribe, your email address is stored and processed by an external newsletter provider (such as Buttondown or Kit), not on this site. It is used only to send you new posts and occasional updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email, which removes your address from the list.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets no tracking cookies. It stores a single value in your browser's local storage - your light or dark theme preference - so the site remembers it on your next visit. That value never leaves your device.

Analytics

There is currently no third-party analytics on this site. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated first, and I will favour privacy-friendly, cookieless options.

Third parties

The site is served as static files by a hosting provider, and fonts are self-hosted rather than loaded from a third party. The newsletter provider is the only third party that processes personal data, and only when you subscribe.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, or delete any personal data I hold about you - in practice, that means your newsletter subscription. Email me and I will take care of it.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

I may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.
